Hopefully I'll get one on the way tomorrow when all these far-off scrap yards open up. Hopefully I'll get the problem fixed for under $100 including coding.

I was scared at first because my version of the SRS unit was only used on e46s for a year (build date mid '98 - mid '99.) I figured they would be hard to find. Turns out there are plenty of them on car-part.com.

My only goal now is to get a used unit from a junk yard, from a car that hasn't been in a crash. Mine has zero crashes, so I'd like to avoid having the car see crash-related codes... So hopefully a car with a blown motor or similar. Ya
Why not get a later model SRS module and upgrade to an M3 wheel?

Yesterday I cleaned the exterior (just a quick wash) and today I bought and installed a Highline Catback Exhaust. Sounds BEASTLY.

Skip to :30 and stop at 1:30; before/after has nothing.

^ nice job, what symptoms were you having that lead you to believe you needed to change the mounts?

I'm asking because I'm about to roll 115k and have yet to change any motor mounts or transmission mounts. I know its coming, just wondering what symptoms to look for...

----

As for today, first hand wash in 2 months! EEK! Even after the wash, however, paint looks like ****. Planning to do some spot-waxing next weekend and then a full wax job in a month or two...

Nothing, had to change my guibo and Decided to replace the mounts as well.
You can check for cracks though, or if your shift lever locks up while shifting while turning fast.
