Had the oil changed today at the dealer... without the coupon it would've been $190!!! For an oil change!! I mean I know it's a BMW and uses synthetic oil but damn what a rip off. After I politely told the service advisor about the E46 Value Service it came down to around $90. Not great, but they did wash and vacuum the car and they didn't try to upsell me on anything so I give them an A.

Seriously? Do it in your driveway man. $10 for the filter and ~45 for Mobil 1 full synthetic (if you dont find a deal) and 30 minutes of time if you use an oil extractor. Even with your E46 value service you're getting 2 oil changes for the price of 1.

That and it's man time with your car.

Yeah man I'm definitely going to do that next time. I was just so damn shocked by how expensive it would've been. My jaw literally dropped when she told me the price. I can't imagine how much it would be for an M3 or M5 at the dealer!

Speaking of which, the F10 M5 is

yeah my old shitass Durango was like a $50 oil change so I knew my BMW would be a lot. Never took it in for one and have always done it in the driveway since I got it.

Yeah that f10 M5 is pretty hot. There's an e91 I have my eye on in alpine white at my local dealer, but it's an automatic... Boo.

Ya oil changes are crazy at dealer, I still go to dealer for filter and oil but its not that bad price wise for DIY plus I get to look at the bmw's while im there.

Dropped 165$ into my E46 today for vanos rebuild and tools required to do it. Plus I got nice Craftsman torque wrench for nice price too on ebay.

Agreed with the man time. I hate having other people work on my car unless it's my friends and they're helping me.

I put a new window switch in and trunk partition to finally cover the bare metal on the left side. I also ordered matte black fender grilles to match my hood grilles, and I measured my wheel-fender gap for wheel spacers almost and 1 1/2 inches lowered w/ -2.5 deg camber. What size spacers would you recommend?

Ya good luck finding E90+ in manuals I was told less then 1% of new ones are made in real manuals. I had to fly 500 miles away to get my e90 manual and drive it back.

All of the E90's I looked at on the lot today (about 10-15 used) were all Auto's. When I'm done with this 323i, I'll most likely upgrade to a E46 ZHP or a E90 335i and it will definitely be a manual.

I highly recommend E90 only thing I dont enjoy about mine is cup holders break easy and Steering has no feel anymore like E46 does. Its hard to describe but if car drifts to left or right you dont notice it in steering like in a E46.

Reliability wise E90 is amazing compared to my e46, Ive put so much into my E46 its not even funny. Ill never sell it for that reason but E90 ive spend 30$ on new ignition coil in 6 months.

Thanks! Tomorrow or sometime during the week they'll get a thorough cleaning, then I'll have my Hankook V12s mounted and off I go!

I couldn't be happier, almost like a new car again.(not).I don't post much here, but I read almost every night and I am glad to be part of such a great community.
