I spend all day washing her I cleaned all the engine covers, airflow box, windscreen wiper fluid box, everything. It shines!
As far as the outside goes, I went to the car wash and they made her shine so nice, just the front bumper needed some manual scrubbing. An old lady commented that she wished she had a man that could clean like I do :p
I also filled her up with blue colored Shell Coolant Anti-Freeze and bleed air afterwards(never done it before so that is a first). I also spotted both hoses of my windscreen wiper fluid not completely attached so I fixed them.
The mechanism for opening and closing the hood was reaaaaaally dirty and began to rust so I went to the store and got some valvoline brake cleaner and valvoline white grease. I sprayed with brake cleaner first, after that with white grease and it opens and locks like it's brand new again.
Damn it feels good working on cars, why haven't I done this before

I'm ready to change my now taped waterhose (was done by last owner or mechanic) myself, just need it to be delivered to my house

Only managed to do my final stage resistor. That thing is a bitch to get out, but still only took my 30 minutes. The lot I usually do my work in was getting paved today unfortunately. I'll have to wait until next Saturday to do tie rods and fuel filter.

****ing landscapers blew dust all over it. Car wasn't even clean for 24 hours. Plus it's extremely damp outside today so everything is sticking to the paint. I'll need to use a California duster and hit it with some speedshine tonight or something

^ Awesome.

Replaced my fuel pump, fuel level sender and fuel relay. I took a drive on the highway beforehand, but when I filled up my tank it was at 398 miles. After half a mile of driving it went up to 400. Normally, I get only 320-340 miles on a tank at fill up.

Also put electrical tape around the rim of my AFE intake and where the two metal clips from the MAF attach to the intake. I kept having a chirping sound when closing my door, hitting bumps and being stopped at a light. Now the sound is gone.

All I'm waiting for is my EMP water pump then it's time to DIY.

Put new brakes and rotors on the rear today. Went well, only took about 2 and a half hours, no issues.

Ordered my new 6-pot front brakes from ECS. Will be installing them in a week upon arrival. Old ones were worn and rusted.

Replaced the rod cover trim panels and changed the oil. I pre-ordered two oil filters (one for now, one for next time). Turns out they we for an M52 engine. I have an M54.

A quick trip to Autozone netted a Fram oil filter, which fit. I use Fram filters all the time, so I'm not too worried about it. Should I be?

After putting in 7 quarts of Mobile 1 5w-30 oil, I noticed that three of the quarts are actually 5w-20. Should I be worried about this?

Note to self: When buying oil at Walmart, check the label on every quart.

I was planning on running 7500 miles on this oil change, but now I'm not so sure.

missed the turn. if you look close there is an M3 that i might have been racing.......
i was told that it was in the air and thats where it landed...
it's all better now, tough car. stupid driver....
i made the plates from a piece of 3/16 plate. tube is 1" DOM.
this one is more ridgid than a OEM M3 brace.
i might consider making a few if there is enough interest...
