Finally upgraded to HID's! Thank you Jason from www.HIDextreme.com for making such an amazing product. Went with 8000k. 20% less light than 6000k but so much brighter than my stock halogens.

My $300 order for oil service and other misc replacement parts from BMWMercedesparts.com has finally arrived, around a month and a half after I placed it.

8000K? To each his own, but get ready to be pulled over.

I've ordered most of my parts from them, and honestly the past two orders have been delayed for some reason, then I'll either call and/or email and they are on top of it. The past two orders have been "overnighted" to me, the first they owned up to it and said they had no idea why it hadn't gone out. It was on my porch the next morning (on a Saturday). My order that came in today was supposidly delayed because my flywheel came from Germany. When I emailed them for an update yesterday they said it finally came in the day before and I would have it the next day (today)...

Pretty good prices IMO...

----

Clutch finally came in!

Also, I had to wash her at a car wash =( probably the first time in over a year. I just have been too busy to hand wash her and she had some bird droppings that had been on for a few days. It was a really powerful (handheld) carwash (not an auto), hopefully I didn't do any damage to her...

They are 8's but there as white as many other companies 6's. in person they are just a nice bright white with a light tint of blue not purple or dark blue and of course I've only uploaded crappy cell phone pics. Pro pics to come tomorrow at dusk.

Yeah, it all works. I normally fill up when I have <90 miles left because my commute for the day is 80 miles total. On the way to work I noticed I had 50 miles left when the light came on. Just forgot about it the night before. I probably won't left that happen again. Also, I gotta say, if having an empty tank breaks the fuel level sender, thats bullshit. I can see how it may hurt the pump, since it is running dry, but a float? I don't think that would ever break because of a low fuel level.

Agreed. Explain how sender could. Be damaged?

I digress. Yeah, it hurts some business, but in the end, the majority aren't that way. Normally when someone DIY's it, they don't even bring it in for diagnosis.

And the part about it keeping us "in check" actually helps us. It gives the honest shops like mine more business.

ehh. 8000k is 4000k too many Ks. also, you installed "HID" in projectors, yes, but in the WRONG projectors. those projectors aren't designed for that bulb and intensity.

if you must keep this setup, get 4,300k stock bulbs and post pics of projection and cutoff.

I ran out of gas in my first e46 six years ago, and went to fill up, the car started, and ran fine, however the gas gauge never woke back up, and it turned out the sender had travelled too far. and snapped... perhaps it was because the pump was 5 years old with 120k

Sorry, I should have been more clear, shady mechanics hate the internet.

Yes, their prices are some of the best around. Often times lower than Tischer (getbmwparts.com), ebmwparts.com and bmwpartssource.com

Yep, this is the second time it's happened to me. I was told this bumper strip I ordered was back ordered to Germany, and it was delayed twice. Of course they wouldn't ship the whole order until that last piece came in. It took some hounding to get them to reply to me, but once they did, they were easier to reach. I ordered my stuff on 9/17 and it arrived 10/31 lol. Needless to say, even with their low prices and good shipping, I will be ordering from eBMWparts or Tischer next time instead. Possibly BMWPartsSource.com

Almost ran out of gas on mine today looking for gas had about 1/4...due to the storm here in the east coast and roads being closed there isn't gas everywhere, gas dash wasn't even reading any more miles after zero just displayed this (----)I right away turned her off while double parked called a couple of towing and roadside assistance places to hook me up with gas, some went to the extent to say if you want us to deliver gas to you it's 120$ mind you they were only about 20 blocks from me. Wife then decided to get it herself as she doesn't drive and didn't want car to get towed...well 3 cabs and 40 dollars later I have gas and car is well parked until Saturday when things are suppose to be back on track and I can fill her up completely again

so you would argue that a 20k mile M3 suspension is not an upgrade over 85k stock components?

I haven't had a single bad experience with a used part yet, from exhaust to yes, even lightly used tires. Wish I had coin to always buy new but other things get in the way like mortgage, 3 kids, life...

I thought the pre-painted option was for locals only? Changed policy?
