Saturday was the big day for me. Vanos seals, intake cam sensor, brand new OEM VCG,wired my O2 sim in, and fresh oil change. Car is now driving like a dream, no more stalling and acceleration problems (FINALLY!). O2 sim isnt working right now, but I'll leave that problem for another day lol.

I'm actually about to order the stock lights that are just clear and red. I do not like the amber. Makes it look old. So I smoked them for the hell of it. And I'm wanting to get out of the blacked out look, it's teenager-ish and dumb.

+25mp for making that statement. You also earned the outline of a dolphin on your patch. Make another statement like that and I will color the dolphin in! My crayons are ready!!

+25mp but also negative 10mp because your car is slightly too low.

Net +15mp (better than nothing!)

You can redeem your points for a DMAX sticker or one crayon.

OK back on topic:

Just received my windshield cowl. can't wait to install it!

Going to do it tonight! Seems its a matter of removing the cabin air filter, windshield wipers, and cabin filter structure. then just pulling the cowl off, swapping the rubber seal/trim for the hood onto it, then replacing. hopefully i'm not too lazy later on.. its getting dark earlier. when its gets dark, I channel DMAX cause he is good at working in complete darkness.

It's a pretty straight forward job
I think it took me about an hour, hardest part was removal and reinstall of the wiper arms.
Put a mark across both arms, and motors for alignment, I didn't do it, and everything went back together fine, but I remember reading where a fanatic had issues re-installing with respect to aligning the wiper arms.

I'm happy to say my 3 year old cowl is still looking nice, and new.

Nice height on that ride. I hate all cars with part of rim under fender from side view. I gotta admit, did get alittle sappy from that pik:lol:

Bought some Phillips X-Tremes for my low beams. Will install in the next couple of days. Looking forward to being able to see the road at night! Also ordered a manual for the nav/phone; not available on the BMW website.
