If you recently redid your system, it might take a few refills until you get the level where it needs to be. It's an awkward system to fill because you're filling so many different chambers, pockets, veins, and reservoirs.

So in the middle of changing out my expansion tank, I broke the part inside of the radiator expansion tank mount piece. I looked over several pictures on the forum, and I think it is the thermostat. These plastics are so terrible. Well, it looks like my car is going to be out of commission a little longer than I had anticipated. I guess the good news is several more parts of my cooling system will be up to date.

All ive seen on vids is dont get the white wires or you can see them and looks cheap. Also how many different position settings on those ones?

Damn, sorry to hear, what a pain in the ass.
That won't be your thermostat...sounds like your talking about the level sensor.

still haven't gotten around to all the work I had planned on the bimmer. Mustang will be getting an oil change tomorrow. But all I have to do for that is drop it off at the dealer.

Maybe Thursday when I take my wife to work I can work on the bimmer.

It's the automatic transmission thermostat and the dealership wants a premium for it. $95.00 before tax.
