I can take pics of the engine bay when the sun comes out and the fog clears up

I found it amusing that the only damage the SUV sustained was a scratched bumper with a small puncture

Poor e46
Yeah well, I guess the SUV can have non-visible damage on the inside but yeah it's weird

I figure the difference in damage was the result of my bumper not being a part of the equation. Essentially I put my hood and cooling system up against something designed to absorb an impact.

How much do you think it would cost to fix?

The radiator forward is smashed

This is off the top of my head, since I've taken my front end off a dozen times now...

Front roundel
Front support
Fan
Fan shroud
Radiator
Radiator/condenser assembly pieces
Condenser
Power steering cooling line
Thermostat?
Hoses
Pulleys
Waterpump?
Belts
Hood
Kidneys
Fenders?
Headlight mount brackets
Headlight housings
Front air duct
Aux fan
Expansion tank
Assorted hardware

All of this either took a hit, or is smashed in that photo.

I was supposed to receive my euro tray from South Motors(bought through amazon). Instead, I received a visor for what I'm assuming is an american car, chevy I think. I'm so pissed as I waited for it for two weeks and I received the wrong item. I hope they cover all the return shipping fees and hopefully overnight the right item(euro tray)

I think you may want to start over.

Depends on what your insurance company is going to do.

I've had my airbag light on for a while now since I took my passenger seat out without disconnecting the battery.

Today I finally got a code reader/clearer from xcar360(model b800) and attempted to clear it. No luck

Did you reconnect the passenger sensor? There is a sensor in the seat that detects a person and turns the airbag on/off accordingly.

Yeah I reconnected it. Made sure it was in. Do they break easily?

IDK. Probably not. I've heard of lots of people having to replace the sensor, though. Maybe yours just broke at that time as a coincidence?

Thats a loaded question, I guess mostly it depends on what your insurance company is doing (if anything) and what your current financial status is...

If they want to total it, I would let it go.

If they want to fix it, let a professional shop (with good history) repair it, but then you still might want to move on. If/when the incident hits carfax/auto-check the value will be lowered on the car because it now has a "stain" on its history.

If for some reason you don't have full coverage, or don't want to claim it, then it depends on if your handy or not. If you are, you could probably fix it yourself excluding paint work.

Best of luck!

PS: If the same thing were to happen to my e46, I would probably........ buy another e46, I just love this car, perfect size, great power to weight ratio, etc, etc, etc...

Finally fixed the clucking noise in the back. The front differential bushing went completely out breaking the bolt that held it in place. Once I took everything apart, I noticed it ruined the treads. I had to retap the rearend in order to get this fixed properly. Had a blast doing it and I am excited this is finially fixed properly. I have been tightening that screw for the past 6 months.
