My Ride: 2002 E46 BMW 330Ci
|
A friend who I hadn't seen in 3 years was in town so he visited me today to catch up. First time he's seen my 330Ci so I took him for a drive and showed him what she could do ;-)

Took almost 24 man hours for me to cut, polish, and seal my car's paint. Then I replaced some vacuum hose and the spark plugs. Lookin fresh now.

Replaced pre-cat o2 sensors. Not having the right tools really does suck. But a bit of determination and some wd-40 got the job done! Tomorrow re-routing amp 0 gauge wire and speaker wires, spark plugs, bath, and a lot more!

Replaced belts. AC belt was cracked pretty bad. Phone pic! (My new winter beater in the background!)
![]() I have to change the post-cat o2's on the M3 soon. Not looking forward to it

I don't have a good camera around. The best I can do is my Dad's iPhone 5 until I get back to Auburn. I'll get it later today. It's 100% swirl mark free, but it still has lots of deeper scratches and chips. Next step is DR Colorchip kit. For those looking to correct their own paint, I used Meguiars 105 ultra cut compound, Meg's 205 fine polish, and Meg's 21 synthetic sealant. Used orange pads with the 105, white pads with the 205 and a blue applicator pad for the sealant (all lake country). Also I used the standard Porter cable orbital. Our paint seems to be quite hard, but I don't have much to compare it with. Some areas took a few applications of the ultra cut and orange pad. Some I used a yellow pad on.
Oh yeah, and I found my VCG is done, so I'll have to order that with my cooling parts. It's seeping from the bolt in the back and one of the spark plug wells has about 1 drop worth of oil near the seal. I think I'll definitely do the VANOS repair too. Why not? Is that Orient Blue? Also, what kind of products did you use? I have a guy who is going to hook me up on buffing out my car and though it won't fix the dents (obviously) it sure will fix all the surface scratches and swirl marks my car has.
Car looks great Edit: NVM, I saw that you listed what products you used above.

Changed her oil filter, ordered cable crimps for secondary battery under hood, removed headlights and grills to begin sanding them down and painting them flat black, installed bass knob, cut excess door noise insulator, and finally washed her
. For those of you wanting to make your interior (door panels And dash) look beautiful again try out woolite and a grill cleaning brush(yes i said a grill brush) when I was installing, cutting out speaker holes, and putting noise canceler I had absolutely every door/ side panels off and this brought the color out at a tremendous rate. Caution!! You have to be very careful on how hard you scrub or you'll peal the interior "skin" off. If done correctly your car should look like the day it was made! Good luck!! |
