What's the best brush to use so as to not damage the paint and finish?

What were the symptoms you had before the repair?

The dreaded No-Reverse problem. Sure enough, I saw the old drum and it was cracked and nibbled off around the edge. He put an aftermarket strengthened drum in and a master rebuild kit for the tranny.
So far so good. Everything's running great again and I have a 1 year/unlimited mileage warranty on the repair.

Fort Worth.

Next I gotta tackle some issues on our 5 series touring. SES light has been on for a while with misfire and O2 codes. I think that belongs in a different forum though

Edit: I see you're in Fort Worth too. I took the car to AA Lonestar Transmissions in Benbrook. That guy is great, did a really good job and didn't charge me an arm and a leg.

Took all of the wheels off, cleaned and polished them before putting them back with new centre caps and bolt covers.

Oh, and I covered the inside faces with copper slip, so they don't get stuck again.

No not really, I'm a licensed A&P mechanic so this type of stuff comes naturally to me. I appreciate your interest though! It's actually very easy to work on this vehicle's a/c system. The biggest thing to remember when you do ANY a/c work, is to replace EVERY o-ring that you have access to when you remove a line/component, and if you do any major component R&R, also R&R the receiver/drier. Even if a major component isn't replaced, if the system is exposed to the atmosphere for more than 24 hours it's very wise to do the receiver/drier as well, as it has become contaminated. Always do a full vacuum leak check to remove any remnants of moisture as well....plus, you don't want to waste that $30 can of R134a and create an even bigger hole in the ozone, now do you?

My car had cancer, but I managed to bring her back to life.

Fender cost me20$ on Craigslist and the paint job with install was 160$.

Only problem is the paint of the fender is too nice compared to the rest of the body filled with swirl marks. Detail is on its way soon. For now enjoy the pics.

Yeah, honestly I was very lucky to find that fender on CL for so cheap. But I'm glad it worked out because that rust kept eating up my car
