If i had to guess, it's the bracket closest to the transmission mount hitting on the heat shield or the heatshield itself loose

Just finished installing water pump, pulleys, both belts, expansion tank, tank bracket, transmission thermostat, new brass bleeder screw and flushed coolant. Po replaced radiator and hoses last year so now I should be good for another 70,000 miles

Walked down to the garage and just looked at it. Does anyone else just enjoy looking at their cars? I think there is something I want to do, but end up just popping the hood, wiping down the engine, and looking the car over.

I have to address a headlight washer leak issue (caused by me when I took the headlights out to switch ignitor and ballast to fix a a xenon issue). Looks like I'm going to have to order a new nozzle for the left side.

Tried to clean the ICV again but couldn't get the damn screw clamp on the lower intake boot. I really dont want to buy another one since my upper intake boot was in great condition, but I can't imagine they would be that expensive. I think I may have to cut the lower intake boot to remove the screw clamps to access the ICV.

You mean you can't access the clamp on the lower boot that wraps around the TB? Swiveling attachment will work wonders here w/ 1/4" ratchet

Where did you get that? That's a pretty low price.

The only part I found on the top of the exhaust was number 4. The 5 and 6 must have dropped somewhere. Number 4 was the one resting on the top of the pipes and rattling.

And yah traffic lights at neutral and windows up. Don't want that embarrassment.

Yes. Just tried swiveling attachment on my 1/4 inch ratchet. no dice. I can get any angle at the clamp. The screw head is facing the rear of the hood.

Ordered 8 quarts of BMW 5W-30 synthetic oil (at $6.78 per quart), new oil filter, and air filter for $70 shipped. Also ordred new Vanos line, ofhg, and 6 crush washers for $50. Going to tackle all of this on a warm weekend very soon.

Ordered all 6 coolant lines, both brake pad sensors, and a lower intake boot from FCP EURO.

That hurt my wallet a bit. Good thing I don't have to do this very often.

eEuroparts.com. Cheapest I've seen around. They had the Mann oil filters for $4.78 too.
