Congrats, my buddy bought one about a month ago, I've driven the 1's with the m-sport package, they are absolutely a joy to drive.

I have been noticing recently some of the yellow slimy crap on the underside of my oil cap from my typical short drives where I'm lucky if I have time to let the engine warm up completely. I've also been noticing the oil level indicator coming on when the car is not low on oil which I read can be related to moisture from short trips. So, today I took the old thing out for a nice 40 mile drive and got the chance to open it up a few times all the way through a few gears, also known as the Italian Tune Up. The car seemed to respond pretty well to getting a chance to get out and clear it's pipes. Of course I also thoroughly enjoyed it.

If the car has the oil level indicator come on after starting the car you have a bad oil level sensor, just replace when you change the oil next. The sensor failing is not from moisture from short trips.

Yeah I've read that's another cause of it coming on at the wrong time so I'll probably just end up replacing it next oil change if it doesn't shape up.

Thanks. Yeah, I've driven a bunch since I started looking for one about a year ago. They are fun to drive. Can't wait

Found coolant leaking at cracking expansion tank connection to heater core. Ordered parts for complete cooling system rebuild from ECSTuning & BavAuto.

Going to use this down time to start on the installation of AEs, install a new oil filter housing gasket & do a PS Flush w/ reservoir replacement while the Vert is on ramps awaiting her new parts.

Also thinking it maybe a good time to inspect / replace CCV Components and tensioners / pulleys while the fan & radiator are out. Looks like February just got interesting!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day to my baby!

Added a BMW rear view mirror with auto Dim, alarm, LED compass and Home Link that I bought on eBay for $109. Sweet deal and so easy!
