I believe the 323 LCM didn't support them (nor the rear euro fog light - which now that I need a new LCM faceplate, I may opt for the euro one so I can add the rear fog later if I choose.)

May be PO added angel eyes with the switch and wired it to the fogs.
If your LCM supports fogs, then just get a faceplate from junkyard or ebay. Even new ones arent expensive.
However, I have seen a couple of later date e46's without the foglight option.

Good luck.

They grab good enough it never happened before and I've hit worse bumps. I'm thinking maybe a small piece of double sided tape will do or an extra clip if the hardware store sells something similar

Well, when I was coding today, the LCM gives me fog options so I assume it supports it. I'm actually pretty happy about this discovery as it means there's wiring to the fogs and all I need to worry about is "the last mile" to do it right. I'll be able to focus on the rest of my lighting upgrades instead of ripping my bumper off. (Projector retrofit, AEs, front corner and side marker clears, RCR on the rear corners - which are hell to find for my touring).
