Changed a rubber pipe which was split, that fits onto a thingy beside the screenwash tank and goes to a thingy attached to the engine. I was told that it recirculates exhaust gas. ???

Finally used some of those parts I ordered. Fixed the VCG (no more burning oil smell coming in the cabin), replaced the spark plugs, air filter, and cabin air filter.

Pulled off my belts to track down the rattle-ish noise from the front of the engine, everything felt good until I spun the alternator. Ran it w/o belts for a moment, no noise, put the main belt back on, noise back. Used a long screwdriver to listen to everything and I definitely need a new alternator. The good news is every idler and tensioner felt brand new. I knew the belts were replaced at the dealer by the PO, maybe they did some pulleys too.

And replaced my spark plugs, OE NGK's. Went very smooth and in the process found a brand new OE cabin filter in place. Me likey.

Today I bought a bunch of new microfiber towels and wash mitts. I gave my E46 a much needed bath and detailed the interior.

I need to do this also. The ones on my Touring are starting to look like you old ones did. Although, I kind of want to swap an Mtech I bumper eventually which has different lights (mine are the long ones) so maybe I can hold off long enough.

Good job with diagnosing the noise. Many people would not know how to track down the noise. They would just order every pulley on the car then after installing them all, discover they need an alternator, LOL.

I bought her a new Sport steering wheel. From you! lol To replace my wheel that is showing some light to moderate wear. I also detailed the entire interior, took roughly 4 hours.. Tomorrow I will be trying a DIY to fix my regulator, as well as a DIY to fix my sunroof. If they fail I will be ordering express shipped packages tomorro. :p

Spent saturday changing the front suspension arms on my wife's x5. Spent sunday putting bimmer brakes headers, m3 motor mounts, and a new driver's aide fender liner on the e46. I am exhausted.

Did CDV delete Saturday. Gave her a good hand washing along with cleaning and conditioning the leather. Left her in the garage today. Huge storm with possible tornadoes, etc. coming.

Your welcome Sir.

A few days ago I started re-wrapping my interior pieces with REAL 3M
Di-Noc vinyl...FIY....dont use the cheap ebay "Di-Noc"....its sucks and will peal.

Yesterday I painted my wheel roundel rings black...they look much better. (pics to follow)

Today I swapped out my springs for Eibach Sportline springs and remember how much I HATE spring compressors....

So far the drop looks pretty good...i take a pic tomorrow after they settle a little.
Right after i got done...i took it for a "spirited" drive....as i pull back in the driveway it started to pour...lol
