Thanks...I will need to rent some OE removal tools. I would like to just buy the ATI install tool for if/when I need to remove the ATI unit.

Can ATI make the snout fit correctly based on the average of a few measurements (i.e. Adam & McSpeed so far)? Although I can finally fit this damper into my budget, I don't have the tools/facility/time to measure mine. If anyone else measured their snout, please post your measurement here. As I have mentioned before, the difference betwen the two measured snouts so far is 0.0007". Is this large enough of a difference to require custom measurement for everyone?

Mine was x.xxx5

I've been inside their offices, and they hold 10 US patents for their work

Here's another measurement from the first thread:

All,

I'm going to measure my crank on the actual engine I'll be putting this on. The variance is too great in my opinion.

A big part of how this damper works is in having a good coupling with the crank shaft. The damper is targeting 2nd/3rd/4th order harmonics, which are higher frequency and requires a solid coupling with the crankshaft to be most effective.

Brady/Anthony,

People like myself are going to take at least another 3-4 weeks to get this measurement to you. I would advise talking to ATI about getting the general machining going on the dampers to speed things up, and then adding the measurements at a later date. It's the final honing that this measurement is relavant for, and they have a lot of work to do before this....

Sorry for the holdup on the measurement, but I am really busy.

The thread adaptor was $50 and the tool $144 when I got them so it sounds like there's a little discount action going on. Note that about a quarter inch of the pointy end of the tool had to be dremelled off for it to clear my radiator - so it's not perfect, and it includes a bunch of adaptors and screws that aren't used in this application - thus there may be a more suitable and less expensive tool out there if someone feels like looking.

Should be $275, half of $550.

Anthony should have sent you an email. PM him if you didn't get it.
