Damn...there was a GB. You missed it. So man up, call ATI, pay your money, get damper. What would lead anyone believe a 2nd GB would go any faster than the first?

You're mis-understaning my point. If they dont' have and/or can't get it, fine no worries, but just a follow up would be nice.

I'm going to get the damper either way, but since I'm not in a rush, I've been creeping this thread every once in a while to see if anything comes out of it.

Secono let me know if your going to call ATI or wait for VAC to get theirs together. This forum has me paranoid my engine is a ticking time bomb and I want to order mine as soon as possible.

Just call ATI directly. That's how I did mine. They are not extremely fast, but the product is just awesome

I hope you can post up the actual price you paid for your M54B30 ATI Damper, that way there will be no more price speculation.

I will say I really like that it does for the motor, the "buzz" I would get between 6000 RPM to 7000 RPM is virtually gone.

Thanks,
Rob.

I did two payments, deposit & final. I don't have the receipt anymore, but it was about $750, and I'm pretty sure, that included the crank shaft adapter and their removal kit

pelican sells a OEM damper for around $250. the only problem is that the brand is not listed (they just list it as "OEM")

You don't really need any special tools, just the flywheel stop pin. It's cheap.

thanks for the reply. I saw the TIS on removing the damper and I agree with you that it would be easy if I just get a flywheel stop pin (to prevent the crankshaft from spinning). However, my biggest concern is not about removing but about pressing/install the damper into the snout.

how difficult is this. I would imagine it is the same pain as pressing in a hub bearing.

No pressing involved. It'll slide right on. They aren't press fit like the ATI.
