does anyone know whether the bolt securing the harmonic damper is a reverse thred? Blentley manual doesnt mentioned anything about this

aggie...u r right. i cant believe how easy changing out the harmonic damper was with the engine out. no special tools other than a pin to lock the flywheel and a long cheater bar.

Bummer, I'm a BF.C guy so I don't know the ins and outs of e46fanatics, but do these ATI dampers ever pop up in the classifieds, maybe someone is selling their car and sells the damper separately?

I might be selling mine in a month or so. Only have 70miles on it

i know this is off topic but later tody i can post thread bout the difference between the OE (geniune BMW), OEM & aftermrket haromic dmper. the bottom line is there isn't much difference(visually) which is very surprisingly.
