What is Option A?

Motec M150, C125, and PDM30.

Until an unlocked version of M1 Tune is made available, I'm at a stand still with the electronics package. So as a back-up plan, I've kept the DME in place, and will run a few other boxes like an AMS-500, HFS-6, and WON controller. Not a big deal to wire this stuff in, I just haven't found the time.

The 330i project will be moving to a new home shortly.

Thanks! And I left again...
Fancy. I've been looking at making a poor man's version of Motec's PDM lately for my project car to cut down on wiring and add flexibility. Hopefully it'll work out.

And that 330i gets around... lol.

Now that the tree is gone, I think I'm going to frame it in high res.

The background on this photo is that I flew from Dubai all the way to NC, then drove a rental car to Danville late at night. Woke up super early, and drove to VIR to catch the sunrise.

Was just browsing through photos....

Inching closer.

The new work bench area:

The bundle of wires on the right is for the entertainment/IT. In-wall everything....

Hoping to make the move in 2 weeks....

New Garage: Hoping to have seem filling finished early next week, (They've put 2 layers down so far) and paint started by the end of next week. Then there's the rest of the electrical, so realistically I'm looking at 2+ weeks.

The 330i: I moved it from my old shop to the house via flat deck. I've had a chance to drive it a little bit, and everything seems to work in the driveline. That is, the transmission works without fault codes. I notice a higher stall speed on the TC, and the shifts all seem to be firmer. Because I've only done 1 shift at full throttle, (1rst to 2nd) my shifting experience is mostly at part throttle. Also, with a 4psi WG spring, I'm seeing a fraction of the planned power going through the drivetrain, so I'm still cautious about the shifts.

There has been some interest in how the engine runs with low compression and the 272/256 cams. At a 1000 RPM idle, it pulls about 18-19 in/Hg vacuum.

Somehow, with the car up on jack stands, I didn't take into account the car's ride height. The result is that I have to re-do a charge pipe and the WG position. (Again)

How badly did I mess up? Well....pictures do tell a good story.

The charge pipe can be moved up 1-2", but I'm now looking at routing it over the subframe for better ground clearance. The WG will need to be moved to a completely different location. Still looking at the options....

I love this kind of build quality. Good to see you're still powering through it.
