To mount the TCU and E888, I had 4 options:

- Double sided adhesive tape
- Velcro (3M high strength)
- External bracket strap
- Bolt the case directly to the mounting bracket

I chose the last option, which I will probably get some flack for, but I'm comfortable with it:

The mounting bracket with self etching primer applied:

Boost solenoid valves do a lot of clicking. Considering I will be running 2 of them, and they will effectively be mounted to the firewall, I decided to isolate them to cut down on some noise. I put a rubber grommet on each side of the mounting surface:

The finished electronics bracket with everything mounted:

The rubber grommets for the boost solenoid valves are visible in the image below:

The Ignitors are mounted against bare aluminum, with thermal paste applied to the contact surface:

You can see where I wiped excess paste away with acetone; it cut away some of the paint.

The electronics bracket in the car:

The next step will be to install Mil-spec connectors on the chassis, and then wiring can start.

That looks really badass. You mentioned you're not worried about vibration affecting your components, why is that? Wouldn't it make sense to vibration-isolate that beautiful bracket?

If these components were mounted directly to the engine, I might consider adding isolation mounts, but the chassis in this location isn't really an issue. Regardless, there are no instructions from Bosch, Motec, or PCS to isolate any of these electronics, so I doubt that typical chassis vibration would be an issue.

The boost solenoids are isolated to reduce noise.

I guess that's true, 6 cylinders are relatively smooth, and so long as you've got not-solid engine mounts, you should be okay. Especially since none of those have accelerometers. (Right?)

Good question.

I know that the M150 ECU has 3axis internal, precisely to monitor chassis vibrations. (And you can catalog this data) But I'm not sure if they have integrated his into the PDMs. Will check.

More goodies for the wiring harness:

An example of one of the seven (7) Mil-Spec connectors being used on the harness:

Looks great.

As an aside, what camera are you using? Are the connectors / plastic really that colorful?

The colourful bits are just the protective caps for shipment.

Colours are generally pretty accurate; I correct white balance and saturation in LR.

Camera: Nikon D200 (2006)
Lens: 24-70 AFS f2.8

That's pretty much my "everything" combo...although I've got a few other bits in my bag:

12-24mm f4
20mm f2.8
85mm f3.5 Macro
70-200mm f2.8 VR
300mm f2.8

Yes, but nothing with pictures.

Details are dragging me down, but they are important to me, so I'm taking my time with them. For example wiring harness labels, and crimp splices...

Also, Matt and I are just starting to collaborate on M1 Build Projects, so I expect that to take up a lot of both of our free time in the near future...
