Req help from XI/XIT owners with aftermarket suspensions.
Could XI/XIT owners with aftermarket suspension let me know (or take a pitcure showing) how much travel they have between the top of their front strut bumpstop and their upper spring mount?
Also what strut/spring combo you have (i.e. Bilstein/H&R, Koni/Eibach, etc.)? Thanks. |

Well i'm not quite sure I understand your questions because my bump stop actually sits right up by the mount, so the space is actually between the strut and the stop. That said, I also cut an inch or more off my OE bump stop. I'm not sure what the total distance is between the two, and that space will expand and contract when the car is lifted in the air or on the ground.

Thanks for the replies. Been away on business for a week.
Basically, my bumpstop is sandwiched between the upper spring pocket (#9) and the lower spring perch (not pictured), so there's no space above or below the bumpstop. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...08&hg=31&fg=10 |
