This thread reminds me of the old joke about BMW drivers and porcupines.

I absolutely love the double standard. The guy asks about M3 vents - he even says without the "M3" on them and everyone jumps all over his case (love the extreme flaming from class of 09/10) - yet one of the most pimped out 325's on this site has them (which is a fantastic looking car by the way) and everyone loves them.

The word "there" can appear as a pronoun, as in “over there."

"Their" is a possessive pronoun. In a phrase like “Susan and Bill's car,” it could be used to to make a new phrase: “their car.”

”They're” is a contraction of “they are.” “They are” should always be able to replace “they're.”
-----------
Extra Credit: It's "I'm looking for an M3"
not "I'm looking for a M3".

While I love the ///M3, I've never really been all that in love with the fender vents. They're not hideous or anything, but I think they look a little like a "slapped on" accessory (like so many of the ones you see on other cars actually are). Putting a set on a non-M E46 sounds like the ultimate exercise in accessorial wonkery.

Spend the money and time on something that actually increases the performance, or at least looks good (like a set of wheel spacers or clear corners).

Lol your sig is awesome. A little grammar 101 is needed.

And I agree that the double-standard is ridiculous.

I think we've all created monsters out of the '09/'10 class...
The majority of them came from that crafty/sneaky/flame-a-licious r*cer crowd, and jizzed their ickyness all over this forum...

Then, after they quickly realized the error of their ways; they decided to go and troll around and make at least 1000 useless posts a piece...
...thereby, in their minds, relegating them to an implied veteran status on here...
Thus, their propensity to flame away on the April/May '10 guys...

Shame on them all!

Oh yea... enough of my tangents...
OP, vents on non-M = no bueno

You guys shouldn't act like the culture of flaming/trolling on e46fanatics was created by the class 09/10. Give me a break. I'd agree that some of us new guys take it to a new level, but they didn't create the culture.

Also, the fact that you've been on e46fanatics for a long time doesn't amount to much. I've probably been working on cars since a lot of you guys were in diapers. That's not to say that young guys can't have a lot of knowledge. I just think that most knowledge comes from experience and not hanging out on web forums.

Really? What did you replace it with? That bumper looked great and I was just giving you crap and trying to point out the double standard. I'd hardly call it a "painted turd."

For the record, I don't like the m3 side grills either. I don't even like them on M3's. But to each his own.

I replaced it with my OEM Sport bumper that has perfect fitment and clear bra on it.

Here's a 528i that with some fakies. I took this picture at a stoplight, the guy thought I was admiring his car, but really I was laughing.
