My Ride: 2002 330 cic
Belt slips (maybe due to bad idler or tensioner), charge light flashes. Next step would be belt breaks, car overheats. You should be able to hear that though. Still, belts are a possibility. Doesn't matter - old thread.

edit: too bad the OP did not come back and tell people what the solution was.

check your belt routing, I had same problem when I changed my belts, I dont know how but I installed belt on top of alternator instead from bottom, it was running fine but it would slip in higher rpm like in highways and I would drain my battery
