need help with a little interference

any recommendations on what to do? i just finished changing my HU to a 7300DVD and there seems to be some static when i turn on the engine, but very clear when the engine is off. I think it has to do with the AVM unit. Any tips or info re the installation of this AVM would be great. thanks

check the ground... other reccomendations as to eliminating engine noise have been made before... do a search
