'02' 330 XI tires
I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S now that need replacing. Tire sealers won't sell the 205/50R17's because the load factor is 89, BMW requires 93, without signing a waver. My question is can I install 225/50R17's, with 94 load factor, without mods or causing tires to rub suspension?

I run 205/60/R16 on my OEM rims for winter tires, which are huge compared to my summers - 235/40/R17 and no rub. Also, my rear shocks are shot (replacing with Koni FSDs this weeked!
) and still had no rub, even though the tires look way bigger than they should be.

Depends on the rim size too. My stock Style 73's are only 17 X 7, which I dont think... would accomodate a 225 width tire correctly/safely. I'm no tire guru though.

Not true. They will fit fine but this is the widest tire the 7 inch wheel will take without issues.

yes the correct conversion is 225/45 R17 & 205/50 R17 as the recommended size by BMW however 235/45 R17 will fit with no rubbing issues & definately looks best since it is both taller & wider IMO....wider then the 225/50 R17's.
