Greetings from Estonia,

Last week, after looking for my next car for about a month, i finally found the one! 2001 E46 M3 with 207000km's on the clock. Actually i wasnt looking for an M3 at all but since there was nothing available that i liked (besides the bit pricy M3) i decided that well you only live once!
The previous owner worked at United Motors (only official BMW dealer in Estonia) and the car was technically in excellent shape. There are a few scratches on the bumpers and some more on the rims. The car has been fitted with Eisenmann Quad-Tip sports exhaust and lowering springs. The car is rolling on original 19" M3 wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. My previous (and also my first) car was a 2003 E46 318i and after i sold that i drove a bunch of different cars (all BMWs tho). E36 320i, E36 318i, E38 750i, E90 325xi... And well none of these cars, even the big 5,4 liter 7er have nothing on the M3, the sheer power is just unbelivable.

First thing that i got done on the car was to replace the ugly OEM rear lights for LEDs with smoked turn indicators.

Been busy driving the damn thing so havnt had much time to get a proper photoshoot done.

Thank you for your attention

Fanaatikud leiavad ikka oma tee siia

Kas väljalaske otsade peale on "eisenmann" kirjad? Pildilt ei tundu, et oleks. Tahaks kuulda, kuidas sinu masinal see kõlab. Enda omaga olen väga rahul.

@Penn:

Otsade peal ei ole mingit kirja, Eisenmanni logod ja jutud on põhja all. Kui auto UMis sai üles tõstetud siis sealt oli ilusti näha

Eisenmann M3 midagi midagi peab uuesti tõstma siis näeb

great looking M, I think i remember seeing it on sale actually. What's wrong with the engine now? You said you're rebuilding it and did have quite a few miles when you bought but supposedly it was well maintained....

Yes, LED taillights were installed on the very first day i got the car

Hopefully getting the engine finished this weekend so i can drive it down to Estonian BMW Club summer meeting.

Well what happened with the engine:
I got scammed.

The car was checked by the local BMW dealer. Found only few small faults, Seatbelt Pre-tensioner (as usual) and some issue with A/C radiator.
Everything else was considered to be in mint condition. After driving the car for about ~400-500km's an unusual banging sound started appearing from the engine compartment. Well long story short, there was a huge crack in the cilinder head gasket which caused pressure from cyl. 2 to leak into cyl 3 creating detonation (idk if its the correct term in english) now the cylinder head with camshafts has been replaced for a new one, i was lucky enuff that there werent any scratches on the cylinder walls so we didnt have to replace the whole engine. two of the ignition coils were also faulty and we replaced those aswell, somebody had installed "Denzo" sparkplugs which will be replaced with original NGK DCPR8EKP's (all six of them)..

hopefully everything works out.

Hawt daaeeeem. Was it possible to pick this fault up during the checkup? Like checking cylinder presures, etc?

I test drove a silver E46 M3 (which may or may not be this one), im from Tallinn too btw, and walked away as I had others offers at the time too. IN the end i decided mileage was very big and i wanted newer year (2003.5 - 2005). That sucks that it happened dude, really feel bad for you but seems you got things under control and hopefully once sorted, she'll be back as new. You have one of the nicest combos, big wheels, so good luck and keep us posted.

Since I still consider the E46 M3 vs 335 for next car then it would be nice to have someone around who's gone through fixing the bloody thing if i need a friendly advice.
