well the 51-30 has a weird band width I believe it's 25mm where most watches are either 22 or 24.

I'd look on ebay maybe get a 25mm black Croc strap? Or bright Orange rubber diving strap would look pretty cool too.

I see that people write the same thing, but that you can use both 24mm and 26mm, which one would be the best to use?

On most watches I wouldn't do it if the pin doesn't sit right and the band has enough play it could pop out and the watch could fall off and break. But if you are set on it i'd squeeze a leather or rubber 26mm on.

But I think on the Nixon it has small screws so you might be ok.

It's not about the base, it's about whats on the inside and how they are made. Most of the cheaper 3-4k like the Pam 111 are manual winding watches,

How it's made part 1

How it's made part II

LoL, more complications usually more money, except the 1950 (fiddy), and some historic panerai.

I like automatic more, although the high end Panerais are all using manual winding, like the PAM365

Why wouldn't you want an auto winding movement in a watch with a display back?

I like the Manual winding because winding it when I wear it every so often is almost like a ritual before I get up and go to work. Not to mention you can see all the inner workings of the backing like the tourbillon.

Where as the automatics do block more, but how much are you really looking at the back of the watch ?

a tourbillon with equation of time, indication of sunrise and sunset times for the city chosen by the purchaser and depiction of the night sky of the same city on the back plate.

Watch is is a tribute to the genius of Galileo

My Ride: A car.
Just got my Orient Sapphire World Timer with a white face. My first cheaper automatic with a bracelet and also GMT and Power Reserve dials. Construction is nice but you can tell by the feel of where it doesn't compete withe the premium watchmakers, namely the bracelet. The watch has a display back but the movement is plain and utilitarian.
Good weight, good looking and I'm pleased with it.
