The watch was really more a engagement/wedding/the next 10 birthdays gift from her.

FYI - You guys shouldn't use gray market ("authenticwatches" / "jomashop") prices as proxies for AD shopping trips. The gray market (non AD / non AD warranty / possibly w/o serial or with partially obstructed serial) will always have a significantly lower price point but you lose out on the factory warranty as well as taking a significant hit to the resale price.

Also... note to everyone on this forum .... there have been many documented cases of "authenticwatches" selling replicas. A quick search of their site for currently discontinued models that are in high demand (meaning there would be no NOS available) should be the first alert that something is up; following up with searches on WIS forums will confirm that a number of people have been ripped off by them.

Having said all of that.... I would buy the PO from someone on timezone.com for around $2.2k (and still have the warranty, serial, papers, etc).

A word of warning on authenticwatches.com.......they're a gray market dealer, and when I emailed them a long list of questions IRT that exact same Omega, I never heard back. I called them and left a voicemail referencing the questions that I sent them and again, never heard back. I repeated this (emailed again and called again) and still, never heard back. Just a heads up.


For what it's worth, you could probably get the 2500 PO from an AD for around $3300-$3500 brand new. Or, you could search TZ/WUS like the guy above me mentioned and find one in the $2500 range.

I had two Nixon watches. They are great and last a long time. Not very comfortable though. But after two a those and a few other watches I got a Rolex.
