You have sharp eyes (or not so sharp on some, as a few of them are definitely fantasy watches). There are 30 watches in the case. There are 18 reps and 12 gens. You are correct on most of your assessments of reps vs gens. However, the main one where you are wrong is the HBB Maradona. Its a gen. My wife got it for me for my last birthday. Going to be purchasing a Hamilton X-Wind within the next 2 months. Probably around Christmas as a gift to myself. Can't wait

Thanks for the clarification, and kudos on the Maradona, certainly a good piece. However, I don't understand why you would post the fakes on here without first mentioning that they are 'fantasy' as you coined them. It would certainly have saved an angry reply on my part. I apologize if this may have thrown you under the bus.

Lastly, I'll give you the biggest clue as to how I figured out the fakes:

One does not put a $80,000 AP Barrichello in the same box as a $1,000 U-Boat. One who owns a Lange would be embarrassed to show off a Tag in his collection. If you want to make it believable, you should play the part.

No apology needed. One of my VERY early posts a while ago talked about how some of mine were reps. So, my fault for not reiterating that.

And as far as "playing the part," that's all a matter of taste. Weather it be watches, cars, etc. I buy what I like. I don't care what other people think. I have $120k in cars in the garage and a 1973 Ford F100 in the driveway. I drive the F100 more than I probably should. Why? Because I like it. Its all personal taste.

No. Fantasy is the term for a rep that was never made as the real deal.

So, take for example a submariner. You get a rep in blue dial, blue bezel. Its a rep; you could buy that as the real deal. You get a rep in neon green dial with hot pink bezel. That's a fantasy. It never existed in the gen world. Like a 2000 M3.

Yea, I like some of their pieces too. I really have to stay put and save up for a sexy AP Jumbo too
