I don't agree. I've had/have both. Both are excellent watches. If you have breitling money, and like a breitling, get a breitling.

It was a fake, now here is the issue, I emailed Tourneau this morning asking them to run the # on my certificate. No such thing. I then email the department location i bought it from and let them know the situation. I get a phone call and they ask me to come in. Apparently they had a new employee who was working and running a counterfeit watch hustle out of there. I was one of 4 people he got. He is now under arrest and they took my watch but didn't give me my money back because there is legal steps that needs to be done but they "assured" me everything will be fine.

No bs I'd like to thank yous cause otherwise I would be beat for a lot of money, next time I will do research before buying my watch !

Your credit card should protect you. Also, i would be a bit more upset if I "lost" "MSRP" on that "IWC".

like you said I'm covered due to the credit card.... Cursing and yelling is going to change nothing but my mood and cause me more stress then I already have. Now, if they would of said nothing can happen about it then you'd see an entire thread on this

But they assured me il get my money back and make sure my next buying process is correct. So it's all good, il get my money back and hopefully get a deal on my next watch, or just not buy there again.

Does Tourneau have your PAM? I'd get that back ASAP.

Did the thief keep the real IWC?

[QUOTE=rohde88;15267858]Does Tourneau have your PAM? I'd get that back ASAP.

Did the thief keep the real

somehow he was putting them into the showcase and offering "preown" deals (obviously lower$ to attract people) and would make sales.

I'm not sure they didn't get into that. I would assume he did though. And my Pam is gone.

It's in a PA location.

My thing is how does a place of this caliber let something like this happen? Is this a case of negligence? It did happen to 3 other people. I think I need a lawsuit, pain and suffering lol. I kid, unless you think I have a chance. Lol

Not an attorney so can't say on that last part but a lot of times people of a shadey nature take advantage of opportunity. Landing a job at tourneau isnt half bad if you can sell stuff, that cobbled with access to fake merchandise is an easy scam for a con artist.

You'd have grounds to argue negligent supervision and get damages, maybe try for some punitive. Just get your money back and maybe push them for a discount on something real.

robbing with a sword is a good thing

You have no chance of a lawsuit...yet. You would sue under the consumer fraud statute but you must prove intent to defraud. NJ has a material clause which basically says if you paid for A and got B you automatically win (if you bought a 2009 m3 and got a 2006 m3) regardless of intent or knowledge. For you to qualify for it, tourneau would have to refuse to refund your money. Attorneys will take this case for free because in NJ, consumer fraud is triple damages plus attorney fees.

Now, the employee was an amateur tard. Loser brings shame to the crime game. If I did this scam, it would probably take a year and hundreds of customers before anyone even smelled a rat. I would have done it with models that are flawless copies such as the Omega planet ocean, a submariner, a big pilot, a royal oak, etc. There are plenty of watches on the counterfeit market that are flawless copies, some even have the correct movement. This loser decided to use a watch that is a terrible fake and would get him caught rather easily. Noob.

PA is ALMOST the same as NJ..

Quote:
Treble Damages and Other Remedies.

The UTPCPL offers a wide range of remedies-i.e., money damages-to those who succeed in proving an unfair trade practices claim. At Section 201-9.2, the Act provides that a person who has purchased or leased goods or services "primarily for personal, family or household purposes," and who thereby suffers any loss of money or property as a result of an unfair trade practice may bring a private action to recover actual damages or $100.00, whichever is greater. Far more importantly, Section 201-9.2 also provides that "the court may in its discretion, award up to three times the actual damages sustained," plus reasonable attorney fees.
(Treble=triple)....in PA however, it seems that it is under the discretion of the courts (I guess as punishment) while in NJ it is automatic.
