what is the point of having tint? you could just use the sunvisor or your hand
what is the point of peeing in a toilet? you could just pee in a bottle

i dont get your question or your rationale

and IF any object was to be superSeded for time telling, wouldn't it be the phone, not the watch?

I was given it, I do like it though so I get your point.

I highly doubt a front windscreen tint is going to be dark enough to block direct sunlight

what is the point of peeing in a toilet? you could just pee in a bottle

social construct? disposability? and you can if there are no toilets?

i dont get your question or your rationale

my phone replaced my watch, my watch is now obsolete/redundant, how is the watch superseding my phone if it came before and is now replaced?

at current i still think watches are just another avenue of materialism, we have so many already, why sustain another?

flame away

Tag Link Auto Chrono, SS Daytona, Vintage Orfina Porsche Design Chrono, Nike beater watch and old Citizen thats not worn anymore.

My Daytona just crapped out on me, dropped it off at the jeweler yesterday and maybe trading it in.

OP - Do your Breitlings hold time well? I have a Navitimer and it loses about a few minutes a week. Granted, I don't use a watch winder - but to my understanding, the daily wear is enough to carry the movement through the night and keep precise movement/ time. I've sent the watch back to Breitling once already - and the watch performs the same now as it did before I sent it in. Any notes/ thoughts given that you own a few?

PS - What kind of winders are those? Mind if I ask where you got them?

OP, is it OK if I don't like any of your watches? They're far too busy. :\

Here are some of mine...

I wear the Ball Ionosphere about 95% of the time. Outstanding value.

My Luminox and Seiko are outstanding beaters.

I don't wear the Rolex much anymore, its almost in bad taste with the economy the way it is and all.

exactly! i treat the PAM like my most "low key" watch.. the strategy kind of fails if someone asks where they can get one/what the price is

i really don't mean to be rude but i kind of want to call BS on that... the Breitling for Bentley Mulliner Torbillion (sp) goes for around $160,000, there were only 25 made in the world (in 2008), and it is the most counterfeited Breitling on the market...

but if it is real  ... you are the Breitling king!

Totally fair! Mind if I ask if you are in the IT profession (I guess programmer/coder!)?

Binary design watches can be really cool.

Very nice

HA! I was thinking the same about the turbillion but didnt want to say anything.

Yeah the Daytona is great my dealer sold it to me for retail and no matter when I want he will give me exactly what I paid. Its more fun to wear some money on your wrist than looking at numbers in your account. He is a friend and customer of mine so there was no waiting for it, he has people waiting 2 years for them. I know I can turn around and sell it for more money but thats the agreement I made with him is to give him first right to buy it back at what I paid.
