my skinny fat progress thread

currently 6'1" 190lbs 31 years old
i don't know my body fat % but i'm sure it's pretty high

i was almost 210lbs in april
stopped late night eating and tried to control portions and skip the "bad" foods
started running and stopped drinking after the 3rd week
within 4 weeks, i hit a low of 188lbs ... but usually at 192-195lbs for few weeks after that

then i started p90x
i was at 192lbs and i went the first week just winging it on the food part
i just finished my 2nd week and i am trying to get proper nutrition plan for my body now
saw a low of 187lbs on the scale this week ... but i'm usually 190ish

i'm flexing my abs in the day 13 pics so it looks like a bigger difference from day 1
but there is definitely progress. my strength and conditioning is improving
just need to keep at it
but eating right is still the most difficult

i've been doing subway almost everyday (but seems like subway isn't even that good?)
roasted chicken breast on the new bread that's got omega 3 and stuff
lots of veggies + 1 line of honey mustard
i eat a lot of veggies and fruits
started eating 0% greek yogurt ... and JUST got a bag of whey protein for post-workout

my goal is to trim down more
i wanna tighten up everything, get rid of the manboobs, and get some visible abs
think i should start taking a multi-vitamin? or does it not matter much?
and what else can i eat when i buy breakfast and lunch on the go?

update:
pictures at 40 days into p90x

Props to you man, HUGE difference in such a short amount of time... I'm pretty much in the exact shape you were in Day 1. I need to start doing P90X again. Eating right was and always will be the hardest part.

Your head is in the right place and you've made great progress so far. Keep it up and keep your diet in check, and you will continue to see the results you want.

fried egg + slice of turkey ham + mustard on wholegrain bread for breakfast
a few cherries

grabbed the chicken caesar salad at el pollo loco for lunch today
didn't use the dressing, just threw on some pico de gallo and cilantro and onions
good stuff

just finished my day 15 of p90x (chest/back/abs)
had a protein shake + fried egg
and thinking about what to eat for dinner

btw... is fried egg ok? or hardboiled is the way to go?

i would say you dont really need both a fried egg and a protein shake after your workout. theyre both protein sources. cut the egg and add some kind of simple carb.

for fried eggs, try to use either fat free nonstick cooking spray or an oil with healthier fats (ie olive oil)

i think any exercise plan with proper diet will produce results
p90x just makes it easier since it's a pretty well put together program and you just devote about an hour a day to it

my shins after kicking the bag
will take a while to recondition them since it's been years since i've hit the bag

30 day update
gotten so much stronger and gained stamina and flexibility as well through p90x
but the physical transformation is so so slow
i woke up today feeling and looking so fat
even on the scale, i jumped up about 5 pounds higher than last week
i've been pretty good with my diet but i guess i need to tighten it up even more
