Good morning Kenneth,

yes, steering wheel controls still work, the official answer to the maps question is if you want to upgrade purchase the latest software from igo. The unofficial answer is to go have a look around the dynavin board: http://dynavin.freeforums.org/index.php, see what you can find.....

At this point all of the early problems have been addressed, the units no longer have radio bleed, they will come with a LOC to solve the earlier noise issues, the steering wheel controls work, and the unit will run pretty much whatever upgraded nav program you want to stick in it.

The new units are ready to run the upcomming 3G internet modem and all of its functions.

so functionaly I dont think there is much to update......however......I have reason to believe the incoming units will have a small cosmetic upgrade but I dont want to say anything for sure until I see it with my own eyes...

Making promises that they cant keep is what got the other sellers in hot water so...........stay tuned

Dynavin emailed me this morning to let me know that the Audi units ahead of ours on the production line hit a snagg and will cause our units to be delayed a few weeks. As any of you that have followed the dynavin saga know, their delivery schedule has been.....flexible......So please be patient, I will keep you guys updated. Besides I would rather they put out solid properly built products instead of rushing things to meet a production deadline.

Hang in there!

What in the world are they doing over there? Is a retarded monkey in the factory throwing a banana in the assembly line that keeps holding crap back?

Honestly they need to get their act together....this is absurd.

Ive been following your guys situation with your vendor.....keep in mind, the delays you personaly have experienced from your vendor are of a different kind than the type that is causing the current delay....

Thats why I am doing this in the first place, I cant control dynavins production schedule but at least I can control how I handle pre order service, ordering units, shiping units, maintaining order lists, answering questions, and follow up service.

Jeff...
This is great! Congrats on being a sponsor!

I will be placing an order soon.
Probably when you lay eyes on the new Dynavin Unit.
I'd like to get a review of this new unit from you prior to purchasing.

Thanks very much for the overload of information.
Knowledge is Bliss!

The install guide is pretty close to done, lots of dash disassembly pics and info, it should really make it easy for you guys. The disassembly guide is done, now I am working on the dynavin specific install info...trying to distill my Dynavin Info thread to just the install related stuff....

I think im going to send it too you as a PDF, easy to read, easy to print, easy to use, yes?

stay tuned......

Billy,

Ive been a contributing member here for awhile and Im definitely a "fanatic" so now Im happy to be a supporting sponsor as well! Long live my favorite website!

The incoming units will only be incrementally different than the one that I reviewed in the Dynavin Info thread, everything that applies to that post should pretty much apply to the incoming units as well, plus a couple extra features and a couple minor fixes....

The tricky thing about the Dynavin is that the demand is WAY outstripping the supply, my incoming order is basically sold out (maybe a couple units available depending on cancellations, non payments, etc....) and its still weeks away....the "other guys" have sold out their entire stock in a couple days, so if you wait until I get them it will be too late...you need to get a reservation if you want a unit soon, or wait until the incoming batch shows up and put your name on the NEXT batch......your call.

Jeff, i don't know if you have addressed my question or not, but does the Dynavin unit display the information that the stock nav unit does, like fuel economy, ect. i have an 01, so i believe i have a MKIII Nav, the 4X3 head unit. I would like to keep as much stock functionality as possible.

Thanks, Alex

Thanks in advance.
