mirror leaked out

I got home and walked out to my car to find a puddle of liquid on my shift boot.
Stuff smells terrible.

I need a new oval and clown nose for 03 M3. Guy wanted to charge me 600 for wrong mirror. Please help.

I am looking just posting for extra help.

What is a reasonable price?

Check out this thread...you can contact company who makes them and they charge you $75 for a new one and then you send back broken one in pre-paid box once you receive it.

make sure to clean all fluid as it can cause damage if left there.

I checked it out...thanks. I'm going to keep looking but that seems like a potential buy right there.

Same thing happened to me on the way to work but took out my center console near the hazard/lock buttons. Im still under warranty and SA said to bring old part in for a swap but im out of luck on the damage to the center console which lists for $65. All in all not too bad. But if i was out of warranty I would get a direct replacement from Sybesma. Good luck!

Ya it's pretty impressive.

I was able to swap my mirror or 175.00 USD though them, BMW AU wanted to charge me $1600.00 AU for the mirror.

I have to swap mine out too... I hate the fact that BMW is capable of producing such a faulty mirror. For God's sake, it's just a rearview mirror! How can someone mess that up?!

Mine broke but thankfully never leaked. Did yours give a warning before it leaked? Since I was just out of warranty, the dealer replaced it for only labor.

The fluid is used for the dimming function.

I used the company for the $75 replacement and customer service and shipping time was excellent. I do recommend it...replacement mirror looked brand new.

The replacement doesn't come with the Home Link garage door opener.

I drained the fluid out of my mirror and reinstalled.

No auto dimming function but I'm all good now.

BMW didn't produce the mirror. They bought them from Sybesmax

Is the install pretty straightforward? I haven't checked if there is any wiring connected to the alarm node (braces for mechanic flaming).
