When I bought it I also bought two sets of bostons acoustics and a jl 300/4 amp. They gave it to me for $1700

Very nice! Do you have a picture of it when it's closed?

Does it have a display to show track, data, etc. when closed? That is why I luv my Clarion but have always been an Alpine lover!

On the alpine site, it doesn't say anything about this being able to play DVDs. can neone verify this?

Taken directly from the description of the unit on Alpine's site:
The ultimate mobile theater system is now a reality and this DVD player with a motorized screen performs flawlessly.

It also refers to it as a DVD receiver, and the DVD logo is on the corner of the unit.
