Need help identifying this hose

Can anyone tell me what this hose is and how hard it is to DIY. I think it's the a/c condenser hose. Any help would be appreciated

I'll look for my hose and that should help you get to yours on your car...save your car there to make it easy in the future...

This is 'my' car...you need to select your car...might be different part.

That's an Air Conditioner Hose. I'm guessing it is the Low Pressure Side because of the port that is nearby.

Youi will need to have the AC system recharged after the hose is replaced. You cannot charge the system at home, you will have to get an AC shop to do this for you. They have to evacuate all of the air from the system, then fill it with R134a.

Your car has lots of rust and corrosion visible in those pics.

Yea it's funny because I changed my gasket about a year ago and I changed all those bolts. Is it safe to drive until I order the hose?

lower a/c hose thats connected in that picture: 64536904013

lower one goes from condensor to drier, upper one goes from condensor to compressor

Idk CEL came on one day I was driving. Turned out to be an ignition coil. Changed coil today and noticed that the hose was broken.

It'll drive no problem, I mean, how long have you already been driving it with it broken and didn't know it. Just don't turn on the A/C

Also, OP, you know you need to have a shop fill your system, right?

I have no idea how that failed like it did, but think you need an experienced shop test your system before moving forward...they'll pull a vacuum and see how long it holds...if it does, they'll fill it up, but you should bring the old hose to them for them to assess what may have caused that.

I didn't notice if you've had the car any length of time...did you used to have AC working, or you got it in Fall/Winter and hadn't ever tried it?

Yes, you can drive. You cannot use the air conditioner, but the car is fine.

I'll be sure to do that. I've had the car for about six years. Last summer was the first time I didn't have a/c. But I definitely didnt notice that breakage until I went to fix the ignition coil today. Thanx for the info!
