***Official Mad Men Thread***

Firstly, the obligatory SPOILER WARNING.

Secondly, why a thread for Mad Men? Because its one of my favorite TV shows, and its starting back up for another season tonight. I know lots of fanatics probably watch it, it has tons of interesting content, I know I'm not alone when I say its a really well done show. The quality is in the details...

For those who haven't heard of it, start watching it...NOW! Its on AMC on Sundays.

Anyway, who is everyone's favorite character(s)? Predictions for this season?

Don is awesome, I can't wait to see what trim he's gonna be pullin' in this season now that he's on the market again.

Betty is soooo bangin but its clear in many ways mentally she's basically 18 years old.

I'm curious to see how their new "Rogue" agency is going to pan out. I personally think Price is going to get kicked to the curb sooner than later. Cooper will probably die now that his life's work is gone. Sterling...who knows.

As for the Draper family, I feel like by seasons end Betty will miss Don and come back to him.

Discuss.

I couldn't watch it after that girl had a baby without knowing she was pregnant. Is it worth getting back into? I loved it up til then.

Yeah not quite sure how she missed that one. Baby had to have kicked at some point. But at the same time, she was clearly in a pretty unstable state of mind around the time they delivered the kid.

I'll have to start watching again. I did love everything else about it. That just really irked me at the time.

You have to understand that it was a whole different world back then, there had been no women's movement or sexual revolution. Women who weren't married probably weren't educated on pregnancy or being pregnant because children out of wedlock was so frowned upon.

I honestly thought that that plot line just added more authenticity to the show. It is honestly one of the best written and produced shows ever, the authenticity of it cannot be matched.

Anytime I know I'm headed into a meeting where I'm going to have to play it cool I always think "Don Draper." Even though he's a total reprobate on a personal level, he's the man when it comes to being an office badass.

One of my favorite scenes is when he walked in late to a meeting, someone started giving him **** (I think it was Price), and then he turned right back around and walked out.

Or last night, when he walked back into the Jantzen presentation and threw the clients out of the office. Awesome.

I know, I was dying when he got that "oh HELL no" look on his face and turned around to go back in.

I just watched it tonight, I think it'll take a few episodes to get into the swing of things, they blitzed by almost every character just to give you a quick snippet...
