besides FI, you're not going to squeeze much more power out of the car without serious work

you can do the basic intake, exhaust, headers, pulleys, and software remap and probably squeeze out somewhere in the neighborhood of 25hp. Most of that coming from the headers, and those numbers are pretty hotly debated.

After that, you can pull the block out, bore it, stroke it, sleeve it, polish ports on the head, blueprint it, and still not squeeze a heck of a lot more out of it, for the cost.

K&N filter + Nos.

Best thing is to just keep it running well, change the spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter etc and enjoy it for what it DOES have. You won't get much out of a 328i for an affordable price that makes it worth it.

Hamann had a stroker kit, dunno if they still offer it or not.

For the 330, it stroked it out to 3.3 litres, increased power by around 60-70hp, 50 or so ft-lbs torque. I think it was only Euro 16,000. That was a few years back, and had to call bavauto looking for a quote on importing it.
