Aftermarket single DIN that works with wheel controls?

I know it is sacrilege, and looks not great, but I am curious if anyone can recommend an inexpensive aftermarket head unit that has aux and maybe even ipod connections that works with our steering wheel controls. I have a Dice unit i bought from another member a while back that I am not in love with, and some head units are fairly inexpensive out there. has anyone had any success with any, I know we would need a faceplate adapter but i could live with that.
I dont want to spend $150 for someones used radio thats just a couple years younger than mine.
Suggestions?

I am getting ready to put an alpine in mine. it is a temp solution until I have the extra money for a nav unit. I just bought the dash kit, harness adapter and wheel control module. I don't recall what module I bought though. I have a friend that owns a stereo shop in Ct, so I trust he sold me what he knows works. I can look tonight when I get home and let you know the brand and model number.

I know I paid about 150 for the head unit, ipod adapter, dash kit and harness adapter for my other vehicle. it is a base unit, as I didn't need anything special for my dd. Alpine just came out with another unit, I think the cde 103? it has built in BT, which is nice.

I would love a factory looking nav unit, but I am probably going with a flip out kenwood setup later. I haven't looked into how the factory units quality is with an aftermarket system.

EDIT: Wow, just looked at the dynavin site. I read a little about it before, but more of people installing and using them and glare issues. Now that I see the dynavin, that might have to be the nav unit I go with. I assume you still need the wheel control with it, but either way, I will post up tonight about what I have.

The Dynavin comes with full steering wheel control function so you don't need a seperate control unit, for the price and functionality it's better than the OEM nav and yet still looks like OEM.

not many units have it.. just get the PAC control and use that.. have your shop do it.. i have tried single din and alpines flip up.. flip ups piss you off if you want to use AC in the summer.. you need the screen down.. if you want tv, just do double din.. thats my next project
