Thumbs Up What a difference 255's and APEX ARC8's make!

Last day at the track, best lap was 1:15 on a 2.5km circuit with 225/245 on 17" OEM M68s. Track was dry and a lot less crowded.

Today (6 weeks later), best lap was 1:12 on the same track with square 255s on APEX ARC8s. This was in the rain, slightly fading brakes and a lot of traffic. In fact, I think my alignment was a little off since I nailed 3 deep potholes since my last track day and my car has been pulling to the left.

My car still understeers a little but nothing like how it plowed with the 225s and M68s. The outer edges of the front tires are unscrubbed.

Although my brakes did get a LOT hotter. The UUC logo on my front caliper went from silver to gold. While on the subject of brakes, I found that I can brake a LOT deeper now. I didn't adjust so I was riding the brakes coming off the 2 long straights.

to this combo!

I'll post some vids later.

Nice looking wheels and great improvement in times in the wet! I just added 18x9.5 d-force wheels w/ 275 Dunlop Dirrezza's all around and will try them out next weekend. JK

Thats legit man! I'm about ready to go square with an 18x9 245 setup. How was fitting 255s? Do you have camber plates in the front in order to keep from rubbing? Thats why im going 245...

I've got vorshlag plates in front with 2.5 degrees of negative camber. Well, working on the after video. My external hard drive just died so it will be awhile until I can get the before video.

BTW, I had the aircon on during the 1:12 run too!

Video is coming. My 4 year old computer struggles with video editing.

Oh yeah, DSC on during both runs as well.

The biggest difference that I noticed were my braking points were a little later. I think I can easily shave off some more time on the 2 straights by braking even later. Then, maybe turn off DSC

IIRC, 255/35R18's will have more fitment issues vrs 17" setups according to Apex wheels.
