Chrysler To Bring Back The Demon Line

When 707hp hellcats just don't cut it, Fiat/Chrysler decided to have an even bigger sense of humor....

New Dodge Demon will be a hellacious muscle car
http://www.foxnews.com/auto/2017/01/...uscle-car.html

Amazingly, they are tight lipped about it, but I can't wait to see it debut at the NY auto show.

Guessing it has something to do with 1/4 mile times and racing for pinks.

Also, they need to change their company motto to "Because we can".

Ohhh I see it now. A tenth of a second can make you lose your car and a half second kills your reputation.

I'll be honest, I've only seen a couple of hellcats on the road, and they were driven by middle aged guys doing the speed limit they were also all stock. In NJ the douchebags still drive audis and bmws. Of course I recognize that things may be different in various locations.

My parents neighbor had or has a hellcat, guy buys cars puts them in his garage, never drives them, then sells them. He is one of those "I just want to check it off my list" type collectors. He has a Chevelle SS that was a completely restored, even had the factory chalk marks replicated, it is most likely worth 6 figures but he says he'll never sell it.

I hope he gets one of these just so I can see it.

I think a lot of hellcat buyers planned on that because they were only going to build 5000 units but since sales were so good they kept/keep building more, nevertheless, it's a cool ride and a cool conversation piece, I can only imagine these things with 800+hp from the factory, with a warranty.

Yeah the guy never drove it from what my father tells me, would just pull it out of the garage and start it up every once and a while, I don't even think the guy buys these cars as an investment, just buys them to say he owned them, he didn't even drive it home from the dealership, it showed up in a car carrier.

Apparently he has a pretty small but impressive collection, has three separate garages on his property. Moved in maybe 10 years ago and the first thing he did was build two extra garages.

He's still swinging on the 15 year old shriveled up nuts of what used to be the ultimate driving machine.

Generally in a street car 1/4 mile race, a .10 of a second is roughly equal to a car length in distance. So a half a second means you suck and your reputation is tarnished for ev er.

Im pissed that they never built that Demon roadster concept they had 10 years ago, but managed to build the Prowler.

Granny shiftin', not double clutchin' like you should, you're lucky that the 100 shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake.

My Ride: A car.
My neighbor is a car guy and has a Hellcat...it's kind of scary to ride in after the boring parts. It just doesn't seem like a car that would handle well...typical old-school muscle car thoughts go through my head....please go straight only!

I rather roll around in his Rapide or 458
