Thanks guys..... FINALLY after close to 3 days of running around and making changes, got the new compressor wired up (220v 30A), all connections and regulators installed and its running!!!

It's going to make clear coating SO MUCH more consistent!! Here's a picture of the "beast"

Going to make a proper manifold to deliver clean air to paint gun and oil-injected air for power tools..... That's next weekend.... LOL

Does it ever end?

Now I can finally clear coat my set and all the other stuff waiting on this to be up and running.....

I want to see some more products done. I think you do great work though. I'm VERY picky on how things are done lol. I wouldn't want there to be imperfections in the weave, I'm looking for an OEM finish. I just bought a used trim set today and was going to get a 3m di noc wrap by these guys http://www.beemerevolution.com/beeme...noc_vinyl.html .....but yours look very promising and I would rather have the glossy cf look.

Thanks (I think ). Seen the 3M vinyl lots of times; even saw a guy selling wrapping services @ Bimmercruise today... still not to my liking... It was the last finish I tried in my car before deciding that real cf is the only way for me.... I started with wood grain, tried painting, tired different trim, tried 3M vinyl wrap and an embedded CF material all before trying my hand @ real CF.
The vinyl stayed in my car the shortest of all products as I received the wrap, took it out of the package, wrapped one piece and returned the product; personally really don't like it, but some guys love it; so each to their own.....

As far as weave distortion; any REAL CF part regardless of who makes it will encounter some distortion around corners and some bends. Seen it on the cheapest Chinese parts and from the top name brand manufacturers. The difference is the amount, extent and location of distortion. As you can see from the pictures; I've worked very hard to refine my processes to virtually eliminate any distortion (as my background is Engineering and we like things very precise ). The whole reason I started wrapping my own parts is because I wanted to produce a set that rivalled the top brands in quality for significantly less.

A couple more days and I'll have my new set finished and you'll see what I mean....

Looking forward to the pics, I definitely think you do a great job from what I can see, I agree real cf is the best look. I will be keeping an eye out for this for sure!

Will be posting a few updates over next couple of days. Just finished wrapping my first coupe set. Will post pics of that set and I'm going to be wet sanding and clear coating a new red kevlar/black CF set for my car. All 8 interior pieces and centre console. Going to look sick! Should be completed tomorrow and will post installed pictures. Been limiting the in-process pictures as some members apparently can't read and start flaming the work when still @ early stages and anyone familiar with the process KNOWS the parts look terrible until they are worked on and appropriate coats of resin and clear coat is applied.

Also just finished wrapping a (formerly leather) shift knob for an e36 (same as e46). One of the cooler things I've wrapped. Looks pretty cool too. Will post tonight or tomorrow (look for updates).

Can't wait to see the red it's gonna look so good. I think I might have to go with that
I just picked these seats up (just the 2 front recaro's), you think the red trim will go well with it? http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...351&highlight=

Those are SICK seats dude!!! ****; if they are comfortable, they are awesome seats! What colour is the rest of your interior? If it's black, the interior trim would look really cool in red/black. Not sure about centre console.... that I'd photoshop (or visualize your call) as that might overwhelm the interior. How much and which pieces really depends on what the rest of the interior looks like. Post a pic of the interior; include door panels....

You'll be seeing mine installed tomorrow (if I can get off forum and continue wet sanding). Need to clear coat tonight....... You should have a better idea after that.....

Until then, here are a couple of pieces I just recently finished in black CF....

e36 shift knob (formerly leather)....

e46 coupe front arm rest:

e46 coupe passenger arm rest top section:

e46 shifter surround:

The pictures of my new interior tomorrow......

Sounds good!! Looking forward to wrapping it. What colour is your interior? Obviously white exterior.... assuming it's black, you could go with either. I wanted to see the contrast after having the black, and well you can see the results.

Just to make things more confusing, here are samples of a few other Kevlar/CF fabrics I'm considering:

Well? The first sample with the blue, black and white could look really nice in your car depending on the interior and your like or dislike of blue. Perfect for white car with either white, black or blue interior.

I know I was also looking at all the different colors I could go with

My exterior color is Titanium Silver and the interior is Black. I took the rear seats out already and these new Recaros will be red. So the only thing left black will be the door cards I guess. More I put thought into it, I might actually go with normal Black Carbon Fiber for the trim. The red cf looks sick but the only thing holding me back is if I ever decide to play around with the interior in the future, the black will go with anything.
