The Cove was the most frustrating thing I've seen in a while. Great documentary though.

HIGHLY recommended (not streaming)

The Lives of Others. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0405094/

Synopsis from Netflix: Set in 1980s East Berlin, director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's debut feature (which earned an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film) provides an exquisitely nuanced portrait of life under the watchful eye of the state police. When a successful playwright and his actress companion become subjects of the Stasi's secret surveillance program, their friends, family -- and even those doing the watching -- find their lives forever changed.

I haven't seen The Cove but the rest of those documentaries are great, especially Bigger Faster Stronger.

robbing with a sword is a good thing

I'm all about instant watching on the Wii right now.

'm 20 episodes into the first season of Heroes . . . . pretty damn good so far. Although I know it will eventually just stagnate like every other suspense series.

Ip Man was good.

Star Trek is fantastic, if you haven't seen it.

Other good ones:

Street Thief (kick ass documentary about a professional burglar - awesome)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl who played with Fire (I've heard the third movie is coming to instant play at the end of Jan)
Firefly - complete series and Serenity, the movie.

One of my professors showed that in class during my freshman year, that had a huge impact on my attitude towards steroids. Awesome documentary. I loved it because our strength training class in high school had the same name and the teacher for it always talked about roids.

For those who have watched Exit Through the Gift Shop, what would you compare it to?

Also, Wristcutters A Love Story was not bad even though it was a little ghey. A friend suggested it and it was entertaining. Its one of those movies I liked more after I finished watching it.

Edit: The Nat Geo documentary of the private security contractors in Iraq is top notch, Ive watched it three times already.

Can't really think of anything to compare it to. It's just one of those things you can't really look away from and you don't know why.

x2 that was a good watch. Recently I watched Centurion and Pandorum, both were pretty decent.

Also Netflix said they'll be focusing more on streaming, article below:

I'm all for online content, but for now their instant library sucks compared to DVD. How about building a comparable library, then steering customers towards that option. Right now it's kind of cart before the horse. It's annoying when I go look something up on my phone and it's not available for instant and there is no in app option to add it to my DVD queue instead. I have to go to their website to do it. Lame.

I agree, one would think they would start getting licensing for new releases to go straight to streaming starting now if that was their plan, but the library is pretty slim right now.
