Tire Size and Rim Fitment Question...

I currently have a staggered setup on my 04 325 coupe. The front rims are 18 x 8 and the rear rims are 18 x 9 (35 offset).

The tires I have on the rims on the front are 225/40ZR18's...and the rear's are 255/35ZR18's.

I damaged my rims in a mild accident and will need a new set of rims, but my original supplier does not have any in stock. I may have to go with a set of Velocity CSL reps, but the sizes are 18 x8.5 and 18 x9.5 so they are slightly wider than my current rims.

Will my tires fit these rims as well, or will I need new tires also?

Ok, I did some searching and found that the tires will work, but with a slight stretch. Modifying the question now....what would be the effect of going from a 35 offset to a 45? I'm still figuring out how changes in offset affect the setup.

225/255 works perfectly fine our 8.5" and 9.5" wheels. You'll want to look into the +40 fronts and +45 rears for staggered fitment.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you need some help getting setup.
