Lowering advice

Have a 2002 330ci vert. Have Beyern 17x8 wheels with 40mm offset and 225x45x17 tires. Car currently has standard suspension. Am I ok to lower this puppy ? Probably in the neighborhood of 1.5" from 1" rear. Looks like it has the clearance but just checking to be sure..thanks

Those are conservative wheel and tire sizes so you will be just fine. I'd run spacers front and rear if you lower the car to push the wheels closer to the fender.

For lowering, I suggest the H&R Sport Springs which offer a clean drop and firmer handling but are not overly aggressive.

Hey Gary, I have a 325xi with the same Beyern 17x8 wheels. I just ordered an Eibach Pro Kit and Bilstein Sport Shocks. You'll be fine lowering the car without rubbing the tires. The Eibach/Bilstein combination gave me a 1" drop in the front and a 1.2" drop in the rear, which may settle even more. Enjoy!

These will give your car a nice drop
