what amp is recommended for 2 10" alpine type R

I have two alpine type R subs. They do 4 ohms and 300watts rms (1000 watts peek)
http://www.alpine-usa.com/html/D2_n_1_n_n.html

What would be a good amp to match them with? Right now i have an MTX Thunder6500D. I have it tapped off the factory amp w/ a line level inverter, and it's just not enough bass for me.

THUNDER6500D
RMS Power measured at 12.5 Volts DC:
250 Watts x 1 into a 4 Ohm load with less than 1% Thd+N
500 Watts x 1 into a 2 Ohm load with less than 1% Thd+N
Dynamic Power measured at 14.4 Volts DC
450 Watts x 1 into a 4 Ohm load
775 Watts x 1 into a 2 Ohm load
Signal to Noise Ratio: 100dB A-Weighted
Damping Factor: >200
Frequency Response: 20Hz-200Hz
Maximum Input: 8Vrms
Thunder EQ: Variable Bass Boost (0-18dB) centered at 40Hz
Crossover: Variable 40Hz to 200Hz, 24dB/octave low pass
Dimensions: 11.5" x 9.75" x 2" (29.2cm x 24.8cm x 5.1cm)
13.9" x 9.75" x 2.1" (36.6cm x 24.8cm x 5.3cm)

Well to start off, those subs arent the loudest subs out. You would need a amp that produces about 600 rms(not dynamic) watts and wire the 2 subs to that. Maybe give those subs a little more than rms (350) if its still not loud enough but be careful. If you are on a budget, you should consider jbl1200 puts 600 rms @ 4ohms, but the amp is a bit underrated. Also, what kind of box is it in? If it is in a sealed box, just get a ported box and it should be louder. And if you still lack bass, get one 10 inch w7 and it will outhit those alpines. Hope this helps

I have a sealed box. Are you talking about the JBL BP1200.1? That does 600 watts RMS, right?

I have the same set up as you with the 2 Alpine Type R's. It took me a while to decide on an amp but I got a Kicker 500.2. Its a really good amp.

I did think about the JBL but Kicker is more of a quality product and I didn't like the way it looked.

The Kicker 500.2 is under rated when I got it, it said max was 702 watts so thats pretty good. So I would highly suggest the Kicker 500.2

How many watts RMS does the kicker do?
The alpine type R subs handle 300 watts RMS a piece... so that's why I want the JL... it puts out 600watts RMS

Get the JL rather than a Kicker. I would have gotten JL if I could have afford it but I couldn't. I think JL makes one of the best products out there. So go for the JL. the Kicker would give out 250 rms each but its underrated so there would be over 300 each
