Does this mean that e46 owners with existing bsw stage 1 speaker installed will have to purchase bsw crossovers for your upcoming plug and play amp to work?

You don't have any E46 options listed.

Apologies for the confusion. As noted in my post E46 fitments are coming soon. And you will not have to buy something different. These are simply the starting point. Part of the Stage 2 amp will be the crossovers and harness setups needed to drop them in. This is the first part of the release for the amp setup

So, after reading through all apges and different threads, i am still a little confused. I want to purchase the speakers n sub package now, then upgrade the amp whenever it comes out. I understand the sub comes with its own amp, so where will this new amp go??

Sorry for the noob questions, just a little confused... Thanks all!!

that may seem like a noob question, but it is a good one imo.
you can purchase stage 1 speakers and the sub package now (i did that). upgrading amp later will move you to stage 2. the sub does come with its own amp that is solely for powering the sub. this new amp (for stage 2) will be in place of the stock/oem amp that powers the in-cabin speakers. so, if you do the full upgrade (i.e. the highest level of stuff available from bsw once this amp is out), you will have stage 1 speakers powered by the stage 2 amp and the sub powered by the amp that comes with it.

at least this is my understanding based on what i have read and what was explained to me.

hth somewhat.

Correct! You can do Stage 1 and subwoofer and then add the Stage 2.

good to know that i provided the right info

DIRAC replacement?

if we got stage 1 for e46 m3 hk replacement back in late 2010, that would be y'all's in-house developed stage 1, correct?

and if so, it has not changed or been updated since then, correct?

just curious.

Yes you have the newest version. DIRAC replacement requires the harness and crossovers. This same harness and crossover will be a part of Stage 2

I'd be down for an amp and speaker package...I hate my stock non-premium speakers right now.

I am down for the amp/speaker/sub package. I have been holding off (for a long time) for the amp to be released; once it is I would like to get all three which will also allow me to finally install my aluminum black cube trim kit too.

Halston, can you tell me if the dsp button that comes stock with the HK systems will still work with the forthcoming BSW pnp amp for the e46?

If you mean the "speaker" icon button that does a "spatializer" effect then I dont think it will work anymore as it was a wire that went to the HK amp which wont be used awith the BSW amp.
