Burning a little oil.

Hi

I'm burning a little oil. Which of the many DIY's apply to a petrol E46 6 cylinder? CCV? DISA? There are so many and some are for diesels and 4 pots.

Symptoms are: A light smell of oil burning after a run, occasionally after stopping in traffic after traversing a hill. I'm not losing more oil than normal, and the smell is only there sometimes.

If you can point me to the fault that is likely, that would be super. Car is a 1999 with 150k miles.

haha...just install a 1000 watt amp in your engine...fix 'er right up.

Seriously, is there any smoke coming from your engine bay or tail pipe? I'd also consider looking into your valve cover gasket.

Thanks I posted in the general section and got some good answers there. It only ended up here in the first place as I use this sub forum a lot.
