I am looking to Overhaul my cooling System. I know, I will be removing my Mechanical Fan and not reinstalling it. I am going with a Stewart Water Pump to help offset this. The Lower and Upper Hoses will be replace with Silicone Hose that is under works... I have a 330i Auto ZHP. I know, I am missing something else...

OEM Parts:
Thermostat w/ housing/gasket (11537509227)
Expansion Tank (17117573781)
Radiator Cap (17111742231)
Engine drain plug crush ring (07119963200)
Lower hose temp sensor (13621433077)
1 gallon BMW antifreeze (82141467704)
Accessory Belt (11281706545)
A/C Belt (11287512762)

Sounds like you have most of it listed there... I only see a few things that I would consider doing while I'm in there...
* Water pump - Check
* Water pump pulley - Suggest changing
* Fan switch - Suggest changing
* Thermostat & housing - Check
* Sealing gaskets - Suggest changing
* Expansion tank & cap - Check
* 1 Gallon Coolant - Check
* Upper & lower radiator hoses - Check
* Accessory drive belts - Check
* Radiator drain plug - Check
* Coolant level sensor - Check
* Level sensor clip - Suggest changing

I did my entire cooling system (including radiator) a while ago prior to working here, and the piece of mind if gave me was well worth the work and costs.

Hope everything goes well for ya! Let me know if I can be of any help! Great looking car btw, love the wheels and trunk. They really complete the look!

They make an unbearable noise, at least one of mine did! They are not expensive, just change them while you are at it!

I recommend changing them because are prone to cracking at higher milage, and you already will have taken the old one off.

So while your in there taking the old one off why not put a new one on. For me the piece of mind I got for less then $30 was worth it. But no you do not have to.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Joe

The lower auxiliary fan sensor/switch rarely goes faulty... and really doesn't need to be changed. Unless, it's been physically yanked or damaged some how.

BUT, it's mainly for the tiny green O-ring around it that goes bad, which can cause a leak that's hard to diagnose later. See image below -

So, it's worth the few dollars to have it replaced, if you are changing out the lower rad. hose anyways.

I did the cooling system upgrade. I can't get rid of the low coolant light. Car runs fine. Doesn't overheat. I have driven it 5,000 miles. I just put in a new sensor and the light still won't go out. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you reused your old sensor or order a New one? You can't used the old one from other Expansion Tank. Due to the Black Tube is missing from the Sensor.
