dension ice link & iphone4 charging....

im not sure if i should give up on this or continue.....

i got the 5v charging cable for the ice link, it didnt charge the phone & the steering controls no longer work with it either , so i was better off with the none charging dock......

i have a dension 9 pin dock which apparently is for 3g which also uses the 5v charging method but the ice link i have has a 8 pin input im thinking about attempting to modify the 9 pin into a 8 pin input

anyone ever done anothing like this i think i need a electronics expert....ive attached some pics if anyone has any ideas let me know
