Are you a 5 speed or 6 speed? If only 5 then go for the 3.15, if not 3.46.

Yeah bro I would definately do the 3.15 then. If you could find a 3.23 from an xi that would be perfect but very hard to find.

Thanks Stav But what do you think about the 3.46? Isnt it quicker off the line because i know the lower number the higher top-speed.

I dont care that much for top speed and i do but i rather be quicker off the line and through gears

Idk, I guess but really not anything noticible. It's not really worth it unless you have a 6 speed because your engine will be reving higher on the highway and can get annoying imo. It's up to you though, maybe you can find a 3.38?

3.46 will be 3200 rpms at 70... 3.15 will be 29xx. Clearly you should get the 3.46. Top speed 3.46: 150. Top speed 3.15: 165. Is that extra 15 mph or 200 and some change worth it?? imo no good luck op i'd snag the 3.46

3.46 will def be quicker off the line than 3.15 and will be noticable, however, you will have higher RPM at cruise.....for me, the 3.15 or 3.23 is where its at....

I had a 3.46 in my 6speed for a bit NA and it felt a little punchier but I quickly got tired of the highway revs. Depends if you want quiet cruising at 80 or not. This calculator will answer all your questions:

Nice diff swap DIY on there too^

Actually, a 3.46 is pretty easy to find since they came with auto tranny's. A 3.15 is kind of rare.

Bavarian Recycling has them on Ebay all the time. If you're not worried about revs, put in a 3.91 from an X3
