i didnt but just purchased a steering wheel interface from crutchfield that lets u keep it; so no more remote ctrl

but it sucks that on my alpine you have to press up & down on the remote to switch radio stations but left & right to switch tracks on CD... so the PCA SWI-X will not work 100%

Yea I hated that too on my Alpine. What I did was program the 2 phone buttons on the steering wheel to control radio presets and the other buttons control tracks.
